is anyone else using os x on a powerbook g4 having problems with iChat &AIM?
AIM will show the "checking username &password" screen for a while, then sign me in &show me no buddy list.
as for iChat, it says "connecting" for a while, then tells me i'm available, but alas, shows me no buddy list.
i've been talking to a few of my friends with macs and they seem to be having the same or a similar problem.
i've been checking the AIM and iChat support stuff but have seen no sign of an answer.
any ideas?

Ahhh weird. That just happened to me as I was reading this post. I suspect it has something to do with a shoddy wireless signal here.... Orrrrr maybe not. I just forced quit and started again and all was good in the world.
Damn, I am NO help whatsoever.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not having any problem at all...

I'm running a 17" Powerbook G4 and I've got all the updates... ...All is smooth on my end...
